Adult/Family Counseling

Counseling Services

In today's environment many adults face challenges as they move through life stages and transitions. As a client, you can expect a mindfull therapeutic experience that may encompass cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, family of origin, and grief and loss therapy.

As a therapist, you can expect me to have expertise in the areas of affective issues such as anxiety and depression, family transitions such as divorce, and post traumatic stress disorder. I treat adults in crisis as well as those seeking increased insight and personal growth.

My approach is straightforward and compassionate. I customize treatment to individual needs and desires.

Counseling Approach

As an adult therapist I tailor treatment to the individual needs and desires of each client. I see client and therapist as co-creators in the process of designing therapy.

I work largely from a psychodynamic model helping clients get to the root of their issues while assisting them in finding practical and workable solutions to identified problem areas.

I am also skilled in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based therapy.

With adults I work to identify treatment goals and work towards those goals in a measured and thoughtful way. I involve clients every step of the way.
